Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about our services
We understand that starting therapy can feel overwhelming, and you may have questions before making that first appointment. Below are answers to some of the most common questions we receive. If you don't find what you're looking for, please don't hesitate to call us at 770-479-5501.
Do I have to pay for my evaluation the day I meet with the counselor?
Yes. The counselor will not begin working on the evaluation until it is paid in full. Reports take 5–10 business days, and the first business day begins after full payment is received.
Will my lawyer/probation officer get a copy of my evaluation?
Only if you have signed a written release of information form and specifically requested it. Your HIPAA privacy rights apply — only persons listed on your release will receive copies.
Can I get my evaluation in Spanish?
Yes. Please request a Spanish-speaking evaluator when you call to make your appointment. Dr. Juan Quintinilla provides bilingual services.
I got my evaluation done a year ago — does it still count?
Evaluations expire after six months. If the recommended treatment has not been started within 6 months of the evaluation date, a re-evaluation is required.
I got new charges. Can I still use my previous evaluation?
No. New charges or arrests require a new evaluation that incorporates the new information.
Do you accept insurance?
We are not in-network with any insurance companies and do not bill insurance directly. However, all our therapists are fully licensed, and services may be reimbursable as out-of-network. Our office manager can provide an invoice/receipt (superbill) for you to submit to your insurance company. Many insurance companies cover 50–100% of the fee. Visit our Insurance page for details.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Call our office at 770-479-5501 during business hours (Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM). You can also reach out through our contact form.
Do you offer virtual/telehealth sessions?
Yes, we offer virtual therapy sessions with any of our fully licensed therapists. Please note that virtual therapy is not available for individuals under court order or for evaluations/treatment recommended by a court, attorney, or bond conditions. Visit our Virtual Therapy page for more details.
Do you do Family Violence Intervention Program (FVIP)?
No, we do not offer FVIP at this facility. However, we do conduct anger evaluations and anger management treatment.
What are your fees?
Individual, family, and couples sessions are $125 per hour. Group sessions are $30 per hour. Evaluations range from $150 to $1,000 depending on type. We accept cash, credit cards, and money orders. Visit our Fees page for the complete fee schedule.
