Sara obtained her Bachelor’s in Psychology with Minors in Criminal Justice and Applied Statistics and Data Analysis from Kennesaw State University and her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University. She has experience in working in accountability court programs, community counseling, and community service boards as well as with those receiving medication-assisted treatment and those involved with the Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) working towards reunification. Throughout her career, Sara has devoted her time to staying knowledgeable about the evolving field of mental health and substance use by obtaining multiple certifications and completing trainings each year. As a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC), she is well-versed in the field of substance use including how mental health can play a role in addiction and relapse prevention.
